About Matt Mueller

Born and raised in southern Minnesota, Matt Mueller grew up surrounded by music, family, and the steady rhythm of life on a small hobby farm. From an early age, he immersed himself in band, choir, and musicals, discovering both a love for performing and the joy that music brings to others. Whether it was before sporting events, while helping out around the farm, or during quiet moments of relaxation, music was always a constant in his life.

At 14, Matt received his first guitar, a gift from his parents that sparked a new chapter in his musical journey. Teaching himself to play, he soon began experimenting with writing songs that reflected his own experiences and emotions. After graduating high school in 2020, he took on another life-changing commitment by joining the Minnesota Army National Guard.

Two years later, in 2022, Matt took a leap of faith and began performing solo shows. What started as intimate performances soon evolved into a larger project as he formed a band and quickly gained traction on the local circuit as a country cover act. In 2023, alongside close friends, he co-founded Whiskey Peddler, a group dedicated to bringing a professional-quality show infused with energy, youthfulness, and creativity to every stage they set foot on. That same year, he also celebrated another milestone—graduating from college.

In 2025, Matt released his debut single, marking the beginning of his journey as a recording artist. Today, he splits his weekends between performing with Whiskey Peddler and playing shows under his own name, all while dedicating more time to writing and recording original music. Drawing inspiration from a variety of artists and genres, Matt writes songs straight from the heart, blending personal storytelling with a sound that’s both familiar and uniquely his own.

With a foundation rooted in hard work, a passion for performance, and a drive to share his music with others, Matt Mueller continues to carve out his place in the world of country music—one song, one show, and one story at a time.
