About Matt Mueller
Matt Mueller writes country songs the way he was raised: honest, hardworking, and rooted in southern Minnesota. He grew up on a small hobby farm surrounded by music and family, singing in band, choir, and school musicals before he ever picked up a guitar.
He got his first guitar at 14, taught himself to play, and started writing songs right away. After high school he joined the Minnesota Army National Guard and kept writing. In 2022 he started playing solo shows, and in 2023 he co-founded Whiskey Peddler, a high-energy band on the local circuit.
In 2025 Matt released his debut single and earned a Midwest Country Music Organization Song of the Year nomination. He has played the Minnesota State Fair, the Steele County Fair, and 25+ stages across Minnesota and Iowa, and has opened as direct support for touring acts. His latest single, “Queen of Attention,” is out now.
Today Matt performs two ways: solo acoustic, and with his full band, Matt Mueller & the Guilty Pleasures. Either way, the songs are personal, heartfelt, and played loud.
